BUBBLE BATH
A contemporary juggling piece that sweeps the audience along with its humor, speed, and skill.

The performance “Bubble Bath” is a multidisciplinary contemporary juggling solo that explores the art of juggling. The realization and artistic direction of the piece are the responsibility of its creator and performer, Sofia Motturi.
TOURDATES:
An artistic and entertaining contemporary circus piece that examines the art of juggling, integrating technical mastery with theatrical storytelling. Bubble Bath, a juggling solo brimming with creativity and playfulness, explores movement and visual possibilities within a bathtub, integrating it with juggling and foot juggling.
The performance plays at the intersection of utopia and realism. Everything is set in a bathroom. The bathroom door can be locked, offering a momentarily escape from the outside world. Bubble Bath conveys emotion and storyline through elements of absurd humor. The performance draws inspiration from the flaws and imperfections of the individual, from which one might wish to hide behind a locked bathroom door.
For a brief moment, life becomes a play and everything feels light — made only of foam and soap bubbles.
“Maybe I’ll just have a taste of this soap water.”

I want to broaden how circus and juggling are seen, adding a deeper, more artistic and story-driven approach alongside the technical and entertaining aspects. By combining expressive storytelling with juggling and movement, I aim to show a new way of thinking juggling as an art form.
